An e-business consultant is a coach and facilitator of the business operated through the online channel. It outlines the guidelines to be followed for the sales and marketing function but also e-commerce engineering for any operator or private individual seeking to establish a place on the web and make his investments profitable with the least risk. It develops the client’s e-business strategy. Its mission is to support companies wishing to use the Internet or social networks as a commercial tool, while adopting a marketing and communication strategy adapted to the needs identified, as well as technical and organizational solutions to boost sales policy.
Then, he participates in the design and implementation of Internet or e-business solutions: creation of showcase sites, online ordering procedures, ASP… This implies that it intervenes both on strategic dimensions of the company (marketing, business plan…), on the design and editorial content of the sites, but also on the technical aspects of the project and products (digitalization).
